  James Andrew Bailey, 74, Somerset, passed away April 16, 2005. Born Aug. 24,
  1930, in Hollsopple, the son of the late Earl and Margaret (Barndt) Bailey.
  Preceded in death his parents; sister, Thelma; brother, Clyde and several
  nieces and nephews. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Brant);
  daughter, Evelyn, married to Thomas Horner, Somerset; son, Clifford, married to
  Kathy (Gordon), Windber; son, Jeffrey, Somerset; daughter, Jennifer Shaffer,
  Ligonier; Clifford's children: Nicole, Michael and Tiffany; Jennifer's
  daughter, Estella; brothers, William, Charles and Melvin; sister, Edith,
  married to Race Reed; numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Army
  in the Korean War. He was employed as a snow plow driver for Somerset Township,
  a mechanic at Friedens Garage and a surface coal test driller for Scurfield
  Coal. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral
  Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 8 p.m. The Rev. Charles Mahon
  officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
