Bailey, 58, of Allegheny Street, Boswell, died April 28, 1999, at home. Born Dec. 21, 1940, in Philipsburg. Son of Norman and Louise (Moore) Bailey. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, the former Shelby J. Mahl; sons, Barry E. McVicker Jr., married to the former Charlene Acker, Boswell, and Brian W. McVicker, Boswell RD. Grandchildren: Erica, Brian, Olivia, Marrita, and Brady. Brother of Sam and wife Shirley, Philipsburg; Roger and wife Betty, Centre Hall; Kathy, married to Jim Wayne, State College; Jenney, married to Nelson Husted, West Decatur, Pa.; Jack and wife Carla, Philipsburg; Mary, married to Tom McCloskey, Bellefonte, and Mike and wife Janet, Williamsport. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Member of American Legion and Pa. State Education Association. Would have observed 23rd wedding anniversary Nov. 26, 1999. Graduate of Lock Haven University. Math teacher at North Star High School for almost 30 years, where he also was a longtime football and basketball coach. Football coach for Ligonier Valley High School. Also coached girls softball for North Star High School. Air Force veteran of Vietnam War. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 1 p.m.. Sunday, the Rev. Michael A.
