  Shirley Mae (Brant) Bailey, 69, Somerset, passed away May 13, 2005, at Somerset
  Hospital. Born Sept. 23, 1935, in Brothersvalley Township, she is the daughter
  of the late Joseph and Mayola (Rose) Brant, and was raised by her late
  grandmother Nannie (Knupp) Brant and aunt and uncle Norma and Lew Schreffler.
  She is also preceded in death by her husband James in April, and several other
  aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. She is survived by her daughter and
  caregiver for both parents, Evelyn, married to Thomas Horner, Somerset; son,
  Clifford, married to Kathy (Gordon), Windber; son, Jeffrey, Somerset; daughter
  Jennifer Shaffer, Ligonier; grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Tiffany and Estella
  Mae; and several dear aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends. She was a
  member of the Rayman Church of the Brethren and enjoyed sewing, knitting,
  flowers, crafts, family and church events. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6
  to 8 p.m. with a service to follow at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. The Rev.
  Charles Mahon officiating. Interment at Somerset County Memorial Park.
