"Millie" (Zayaz) Baker, 94, Patriot Manor, Somerset, formerly of Stoystown RD (Ferrellton), died March 28, 1998 at Somerset Hospital. Born March 27, 1904 in Johnstown, daughter of Andrew and Anna (Gresh) Zayaz. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Stephen G., Aug. 17, 1987 and brother, Edward. Survived by sons George, married to Muriel Hardenbrook, Auke Bay, Alaska; John Patrick, married to Dolores Frantz, York; and Paul, married to Mary Virginia Hall, West Chester; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and sister Stella Lanendola, Murphysboro, Ill. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, and was one of the founders of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boswell, where she and Mr. Baker were custodians for over 50 years. Retired cafeteria employee of the former JBJ Joint Schools. Friends received from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny St., Boswell, where wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Family and friends will meet at St. Peter's Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
