A Baltimore & Ohio breakman, Calvin Baker, of Somerset, aged 23 years was ground to death under the wheels of a freight train in the Johnstown yards early Saturday evening. Baker was working on a shifter and stepped from his engine in front of a train going in the opposite direction. The remains were taken to his home in Somerset Sunday evening and the funeral took place Monday afternoon. The unfortunate young man was a son of Jere Baker, of Adams. For the past two years he has been living in Somerset. His wife and one child survive. Meyersdale Commercial, Sept. 30, 1915
