BAKER Charles Hilary Baker, 95, of Oakland RD 3, Maryland, died May 24, 1983 at the Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home. He was born May 28, 1887 in Grantsville, Maryland, the son of the late Simon P. Baker and Elizabeth (Warrick) Baker. His wife, Iva Elizabeth Baker, died in 1974. He was a veteran of World War I and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Maple Springs Church of the Brethren in Eglon, W.Va. He is survived by one son, Stanley H. Baker, Oakland; a daughter, Mrs. Freda M. Moon, Haymarket, Va.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home. Services were conducted at the Fairview Church of the Brethren by the Rev. David Moon. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The Republic, June 2, 1983 [B0151]
