Baker, 85, Salisbury RD 1, died Aug. 29, 1987, at Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin. Born Aug. 16, 1902, in Greenville Township, son of the late Solomon and Wilda (Miller) Baker. Preceded in death by wife, the former Marie E. Grosskinsky. Survived by one son, Blaine C. Baker, Somerset RD 3; one daughter, Mrs. Helen L. Bowman, Meyersdale RD 3; two sisters: Miss Mae Baker, Oakland, Md., and Mrs. Edna Mathias, Somerset; also five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Member of Greenville Lutheran Church and a retired employee of the Keystone Lime Co. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Greenville Lutheran Church, with Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment, Greenville Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Family suggests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Greenville Lutheran Church.
