Baker, 69, Somerset RD 2, died April 18, 1986, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born May 9, 1916, in Lincoln Township, a son of the late John L. and Nellie (Zimmerman) Baker. Also preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Ann. Survived by his wife, the former Pauline Walker, and two children, Janice Marie, Plum Borough; and James A., Pittsburgh; also a grandson, Charles J. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Connellsville; King Solomon Lodge No. 346 F. and A.M., Connellsville; the A.A.S.R. Lodge Valley of Uniontown; A.A.S.R. Council Valley of Pittsburgh; Syria Temple, Pittsburgh; Somerset County Shrine Club; the S.S. Krause Post American Legion, Somerset; the B.P.O.E.; the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers; the A.A.R.P.; and the American Radio Relay League Inc., Somerset. He was a veteran of World War II. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and from noon-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be held Monday at 10 a.m., the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Family suggests contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Masonic services will be conducted by Somerset Lodge No. 358 F. and A.M.
