His health had been failing for some time and he had been confined to his bed for several weeks. Mr. Baker was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Baker. He was married to Miss Lydia Kemp. He was a life-long citizen of the Maple Grove locality and a member, since boyhood, of the Church of the Brethren, and served many years as an officer in that church. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Lewis, of Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Nancy Miller, Accident, Md.; W. Harvey Baker, Hillsboro, MD.; Mrs. Florence Pittinger, Huntington, Pa.; Irvin, Grantsville; Albert, Swanton, Md.; Jonas, Martinsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Effie Jane Mason, Cumberland; also by 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the Maple Grove Church, with Rev. J. E. Walls in charge. Meyersdale Republican, May 12, 1932
