Baker, 87, of 37 Hollow Road, Windber, died May 27, 1990, at home. Born Dec. 3, 1902, in Hollsopple. Daughter of the late Russell and Civilla (Foust) Holsopple. Preceded in death by husband, Irvin; son, Ernest; grandson, Ronald; and these brothers and sisters: Verna, Lola, Claude, Selah, Merril and Ray. Survived by these children: Alice Reitz of Shanksville; Lena Mae Damewood of Raeford, N.C.; Irvin, married to the former Margaret McShane, of Slatington; Jean, wife of Raymond Debaugh, of Point Orange, Fla.; Raymond, married to the former Ida Watts, Jarretsville, Md.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Sister of Anna Grace Hoffman of Windber; Lea, wife of Clair Cook, of Nanty Glo; Harold, married to the former Ruby Goughenour, of Mineral Point; and Rennel, married to the former Nora Altemus, Oregon. She is a member of the Hollsopple United Methodist Church, the Windber American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. Past chief of thee Pythian Sisters and Windber OES. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at the Meek Funeral Home, where service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Dennis Doebler officiating. Interment, Weller Cemetery.
