Baker, 68, son of the late Mary and John W. Baker, well remembered residents of Grantsville, Md., died Tuesday night, Dec. 14, in the Maryland General Hospital, Baltimore. He had been visiting at the home of his sister, Mrs. George Winters, in Baltimore, for about a month when he became ill and was taken to the hospital where he underwent an operation about three weeks ago. He seemed to be recovering, but took a relapse several days ago resulting in his death on Tuesday. He is survived by three brothers Norman Baker, near Jennings, Wm. T. Baker, Grantsville, and Eugene, near Greensburg; and by two sisters, Mrs. George Green and Mrs. C. E. Wagner of Baltimore. His wife and only daughter preceded him in death. Mr. Baker was well known in Grantsville. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World. His body will be brought to the home of his brother, Norman, and interment will be made in the Grantsville cemetery. Other arrangements for the funeral are not yet made.
