Baker, 97, of Somerset, formerly of RD 7, died Oct. 25, 1988, at Seimon's Lakeview Manor Estate. Born March 18, 1891, in Somerset Township, daughter of the late Cyrus A. and Flora (Weller) Stahl. Preceded in death by her husband, Milton A. Baker in 1984; a son, Elwood S.; and a grandson, Richard Suder; brothers: Harry, Albert, Stewart, Floyd and Park; and sister, Daryl Stoy. Survived by daughters: Mrs. Clarence H. (Ethel) Lape, of Somerset; and Mrs. Jack K. (Hazel) Suder, of Fair Oaks, Calif.; six grandchildren: Ronald Lape, New Castle; Dr, Richard Baker, Greensburg; Jeanine McGrath, Bricktown N.J.; Joyce Richard, Simi, Calif.; David Suder, Vacaville, Calif.; Jeffrey Suder, Woodland, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by a brother, Irvin, of Berlin; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Martha Baker, Greensburg; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mable Nair, Windber. Retired employee of the George W. Schenck Co. Member of Christ Casebeer Evangelical Lutheran Church; the Wimoudausis Rebekah Lodge, Trinity Chapter 0138 O.E.S.; Somerset War Mothers; Somerset Homemakers; and Somerset Grange for 70 years. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church with Pastor George W. Walton officiating.
