C. Skilling, Beloit, Kansas after an illness of nine weeks' duration. Mr. and Mrs. Baker had been in Beloit since November for a visit with their daughter and her husband. Mrs. Baker became bedfast soon after Christmas. She was born in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, March 11, 1854. Her marriage to Noah Baker took place May 11, 1871. The home of the couple has been near Lincoln, Neb., for many years. Mrs. Baker leaves her husband, nine children, 32 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One sister is living. The bereaved husband is a brother of Joseph E. Baker of Greenville Township. Mrs. Baker's remains were taken to Lincoln, Neb., for burial, following a short service conducted by Rev. Norman R. Alter, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, at the Skilling home in Beloit, Kansas, which is 175 miles from Lincoln, Neb. Meyersdale Republican, February 13, 1930
