Born May 8, 1920, in Jenner Township, daughter of the late Agustus O. and Mary Virginia (McAvoy) Lape. Also preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Chauncey Baker, who also died April 2, 2001, brother, William Lape and sisters, Alma Lundquest and Edna Roddy. Survived by daughters Mrs. Blaine (Kathy) Trent of Somerset and Mary Ann Baker Fulks, wife of Barry of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Johann Baker Fulks and Andreas Rebecca and step-grandchildren, Rebecca and Bradley Trent. Sister of Foster Lape of Gray, Charles Lape of Sipesville, Ralph Lape of Cape Coral, Fla., Lois Brougher and Doris Troyer, both of Somerset. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Past president of Practical Nurses Association. Past president of VFW Post 554 Auxiliary. Retired nurse from Somerset Hospital and for many years worked as a private duty nurse. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr., officiating.
