Baker, 95, Star Route, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 1989, at her residence. Born May 15, 1894, in Granstville [sic], Md., she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Armada (Durst) Poleman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Baker. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, New Germany. Surviving are one son, Floyd Baker, Grantsville, Md.; one daughter, Leota Baker, Grantsville, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md. Services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Jennings, Md., by the Rev. Louise Knotts.
