Baker, 69, of Pennsville, N.J., died July 14, 2001 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County, Mannington Twp., N.J. Born Oct. 10, 1931 in Meyersdale, son of the late Ralph and Ivy (DuVaull) Hoyman Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Baker in 1987 and step-sister Elsie Olson. Survived by daughter Linda S. Baker, Pennsville; companion, Sissy Patti, Pennsville; brothers William Hoyman Sr., Pennsville and Frank Hoyman, Frostburg, Pa.; sisters Emma Hoyman and Ruth Hummel, both of Huntsville, Ala.; stepsister Christina Brocht of Meyersdale; and several nieces and nephews. He worked on the assembly line for General Motors. Newport, Del., with 30 years of service. Member of the United Auto Workers and St. Ambose Lutheran Church, Pennsville. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 2 p.m., Thursday, the time of service at Leckemby Funeral Home Meyersdale Pastor Glenn Foster officiating.
