RAY EUGENE BAKER

  Ray E. Baker, aged 41, died of cerebral apoplexy at his home in Summit 
Township, Meyersdale RD 1, on Friday, August 12, following an illness of a few 
hours duration.
  Born in Somerset County, June ??, 1908, he was a son of William C. Baker and 
the late Margaret (Mil?er) Baker.
  In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, the former Stella 
Engle, whom he married in 1929; and the following children, Margaret, Wilma, 
Dorothy, Ray Jr., and Linda, all at home.
  Three brothers, Edgar and Marling, Meyerdale [sic], and Glenn of Vandalia, 
Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Engle, Meyersdale, and Mrs. Roy Landis, Mt. 
Pleasant, also survive.
  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Main St. Brethren Church, 
Meyersdale, with Rev. W. S. Benshoff officiating.  Interment was made in Union 
Cemetery, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus.
