Baker, 84, Zephyrhills, Fla., died Nov. 13, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ferne Kalbaugh. A son of the late John and Mary (Yost) Baker, he was born Nov. 28, 1881 near Grantsville. A member of Christ Lutheran Church, Grantsville, he served there for many years on the church council. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World, Camp 41. In addition to Mrs. Kalbaugh, he is survived by a son, Roy, Masontown two daughters, Helen, Grantsville, and Mrs. Setta Smith, New Castle; also four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was a brother of Norman Baker, Grantsville; Eugene, Slippery Rock; and Mrs. Sara Winter, Baltimore. His wife, the former Myrtle Patton, preceded him in death in 1941. Service was held Nov. 15 in Lair's Funeral Home, Zephryhills, with Rev. Edgar E. Stauffer officiating. The body was then brought to Newman's Funeral Home in Grantsville. Final rites were held in Christ Lutheran Church on Nov. 18, with Rev. David E. Fetter, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Grantsville cemetery.
