Baker, 48, Greenville Twp., World War I veteran, died Thursday morning, July 6, in the Veteran's Hospital, Aspinwall, after an illness of several months. He had been in the hospital only two days. He was born in Greenville Twp., April 3, 1896. His father, Albert Baker, died 27 years ago. Surviving are his mother, his wife, Mrs. Frances (McKenzie) Baker, and a daughter, Mary Lou. Mr. Baker was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion of Frostburg, Md. Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Pocahontas Evangelical and Reformed Church by Rev. R. E. Gindlesperger. Interment in the Greenville Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price and Son, Meyersdale morticians. Meyersdale Republican, July 13, 1944
