Born July 9, 1900, in Boynton, she was a daughter of the late Richard F. and Mary Jane (Eckard) Thomas. She was preceded in death by husband, Theodore Sr.; sisters, Mary Gertrude, Eva Pine, and Josephine Wighaman; and brother, Glenn. She is survived by these children - Lois, wife of Adrian Huth, Lancaster; Theodore, married to former Sara Thiel, Johnstown; Mary E., wife of William Horn, North Huntingdon; Richard F., Philadelphia; Bonnie Jean Keller, Windber; Sally Jane, wife of John Hritz, Monroe, Mich.; Donald L., Johnstown; and Dorothy, wife of James E. Benton, Transfer; also 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and grandson, Mark T. Simler, whom the Baldwins raised. She is a sister of Elizabeth Baker, Lakewood, Ohio. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Windber. Former schoolteacher in Boynton and Central City area schools. Friends were received at the Meek Funeral Home, Inc., Windber, and at Calvary United Methodist Church from 9:30 a.m. to time of service at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Oden R. Warman officiating.
