Baldwin, 65, of Somerset RD 2, died Oct. 2, 1977 in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born April 20, 1912 in Somerset, a son of Charles W. and Margaret Belle (Zimmerman) Baldwin. Preceded in death by parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Survived by widow, Emma (Whited) and these sisters: Mrs. Nellie Page, Johnstown; Mrs. Elizabeth Cook, Wilmington, Calif.; Mrs. William Weigle, Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Donald Irvin, Medina, Ohio; and Mrs. Blaine Hostetler, Rockwood RD 2. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Somerset, a veteran of World War II, on the Death March of Bataan, a member of Somerset Legion Post 181, a Somerset VFW Post 554, and a retired driver for Somerset Gasoline Company. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Paul P. Weber. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
