(Sonny) 05/15/06 Daily American Theodore E. "Sonny" Baldwin, 74, Champion, died May 12, 2006, in Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born Oct. 27, 1931, in Berlin, a son of the late E d w a r d Baldwin and the late Marion Stella Schrock Baldwin Geary. He is survived by his wife, Audrey F. Pritts Baldwin; one daughter, Barbara Lehr, Panama City, Fla.; one grandson, Greggory Lehr; three stepbrothers, Herb, John and Bill Geary and a stepsister, Beverly. Mr. Baldwin is a graduate of Somerset High School, class of 1949. Early in his life, he was employed by the Daily American newspaper in Somerset. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he served for 30 years retiring as a chief master. He served in Vietnam, Thailand and Japan. Following his retirement, he was employed by Seven Springs Mountain Resort for several years. He was a member of the Somerset American Legion and VFW. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and the Carolina Lodge 375 F & AM in Hanahan, S.C. He was also a member of the Indian Head Church of God and also attended Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in Somerset. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dennis Arndt., the Rev. Ben Tobias and the Rev. J. Matthew Deal co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Nebo Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted at the graveside.
