Born June 28, 1912, in Boswell, son of late William and Jane (Jamison) Ball. Survived by wife, former Ruth Walter; son, John W., Suitland, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Linda) Bahneman, Delmont, Pa.; and Mrs. Bernard (Judy) Gibson, Boswell; five grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Isabel Holsopple and Mrs. George (Catherine) Sadowsky, both of Boswell; and Mrs. Alfred (Jane) Landis, Towson, Md. Member of Church of the Brethren of Southwest Greensburg. Veteran of World War II, having served in U.S. Navy, Member of American Legion Post of Boswell. Prior to retirement, employed by Gibson Electric Co., Delmont, Pa. Part-owner of B&W Hardware, Boswell and former operator of Sliding Rock Golf Course, Boswell. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. James V.
