Born April 27, 1962, in Anderson, Ind., a son of Richard Lewis and Kathryne (Carson) Balsley of Anderson. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, D.J. and Esther Carson; paternal grandparents, Scott and Margaret Balsley and brother-in-law, Ken Grise. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, R. Scott and Jo Ann Stahl-Balsley, Somerset, Jimmy D. and Janet Balsley, Westfield; sister, Celia Grise, Greensburg; nieces and nephews: Megan Balsley, Mikel Balsley, Patrick Balsley, Nicholas Balsley, Laura Grise, Amy Grise and Diane Grise; uncle Jim and wife Norma Carson, Elizabethtown, Ind.; aunt Carmen Carson, Columbus, Ind.; several great-aunts, great-uncles and many family friends. He was an active member of Bethany Christian Church of Anderson where he was presently serving as a deacon. He was a member of the Four Freshman Society. His main goal in life was to help people of all ages. Most recently he worked at Sandlin and Company of Anderson as a financial consultant. He was a 1980 graduate of Anderson High School and a 1986 graduate of Ball State University receiving a bachelors of science in finance. Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, Ind., where a service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday. Bob Bell and Lanis Kineman officiating.
