Baltzer, 80, of Acosta, died Oct. 22, 1996, in Somerset Hospital. Born July 20, 1916, in Somerset County, a son of the late Harry and Minnie (Walker) Baltzer. Preceded in death by his wife, Thelma (Bittner) Baltzer, and one sister, Dorothy Shober. Survived by one daughter, Beverly, wife of Morgan Gindlesperger of Acosta; two granddaughters, Kris Nicklow of Acosta and Kelly Clark of Somerset; three great-grandchildren: Andrew and Brennan Nicklow of Acosta and Aaron Clark of Somerset. Retired employee of Dumbauld Tire Company, U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Jay Christner officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, October 24, 1996 [B0320]
