She was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Somerset, daughter of Claude R. Sr. and Orpha (Mostoller) Bauermaster. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Genevieve Glassner. Survived by her husband, William D., whom she married Dec. 15, 1946, and these children: Mrs. Kim (Karen) Gibson, Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Joseph (Cindy) Sanford, Corry; Douglas, married to Maureen Smelko, Sarasota, Fla.; Michael, married to Cynthia Eisenhauer, Ligonier; Mrs. Ronald (Holly) Hostetler, Hershey; Beth, at home; and 10 grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. B. J. (Ferne) Donner, Berlin; Claude Jr., married to Betty Miller, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Robert M., Berlin RD 1. Member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville. She was a children's Sunday school superintendent and music director, and member of the Eastern Star No. 138, Somerset. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Deaner Funeral Home. Stoystown. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville, by the Rev. Patricia Harrington. Interment, I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Berlin. No viewing at the church.
