  Michael Shane Baltzer, 24, Friedens RD 2, died April 12, 1988, in Hardee
  County, Fla.  Born June 12, 1963, in Melbourne, Australia, son of John and
  Sondra (Landis) Baltzer, Friedens RD 2.  Preceded in death by paternal
  grandfather, Edward Baltzer.  Survived by parents: sister, Mrs. Michael
  (Jodi) Abramowich, Shanksville; half-brothers: John, West Yellowstone,
  Mont.; and David, married to the former Lauri Saylor, Strasburg, Pa.;
  maternal grandparents: Myron and Mary Landis, Berlin RD 3; paternal
  grandmother, Viola Baltzer, Shanksville.  Member of St. Mark Lutheran
  Church, Shanksville.  1981 graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School,
  where he was a member of the basketball, tennis and scholastic quiz
  teams.  He attended the University of Pittsburgh and the University of
  Pittsburgh at Johnstown.  Family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Thursday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, formerly Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home. 
  Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Lutheran Church,
  Shanksville, with the Rev. Horst H. Bandle and the Rev. Ralph Landis
  officiating.  Interment, I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Berlin.  Memorial contribution
  may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville.
