  JOHN C. BANE
  
    John C. Bane, 77, Windber, formerly of Vine Street Towers, died Jan. 4,
  1979, at Lee Hospital.  He was born Aug. 5, 1901, in Meyersdale, son of
  John and Ellen (Dunn) Bane.  He was preceded in death by parents; wife,
  former Edith G. Graham; grandson, Brian Bane; brother, Regis; and sisters,
  Mrs. Mary Olive Cruse, Sister Mary Robertina, SJ, and Sister M. Redempta,
  SJ.
    He is survived by these children: Josephine, wife of William Bayuk,
  Davidsville; Geraldine, wife of Dr. Edward Podrasky, Washington, D.C.; and
  Robert, married to former Delores Bach, Johnstown; also eight grandchildren
  and three great-grandchildren.
    He was a retired employee of Lower Cambria Mechanical Division, Johnstown
  Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp.
    He was a member of Johnstown Senior Citizens Club and St. Andrew's
  Catholic Church, where Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with the
  Rev. Msgr. Joseph Fleming officiating.
    Friends were received at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Broad Street,
  where wake service was held.  Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
