Banks, colored, son of Charles Edward and Mary Frances Banks, died at the home of his parents, last Wednesday night, at the age of 22 years, 9 months and 2 days, after an illness of ten days. He was born in Meyersdale. Owing to bad eyesight, he was not able to attend school, but was a willing and loving son in his home, and when able, was a faithful attendant at Brown's A.M.E. Church. He is survived by his parents, five sisters, Elizabeth and Margaret, of Baltimore, Nanny Helen, Mabel and Florence, at home; also by four brothers, Cassel and Theodore, of Charlottesville, Va., Charlie and David, at home. Funeral services were conducted last Sunday, and interment was made in the Union Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, August 11, 1932
