Baraniak, 64, of 429 Quemanhoning St., Boswell, dead on arrival Jan. 13, 1983, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born Sept. 3, 1918, in Boswell, son of George and Mary Ann (Hydosh) Baraniak. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Alex and Charles. Survived by widow, the former Henrietta Hodorowski; two sons: Michael J., married to Christine Zitrides, Casselberry, Fla.; Alan J., married to the former Linda Thomas, Hollsopple RD 1; three grandsons, Andrew, Gregory and Phillip. Brother of: John and Mrs. Sophie Cebula, both of Boswell; and Mamie Dubinski, Akron, Ohio. Member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Boswell; Boswell Post 461, American Legion; D.A.V. and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Army veteran of World War II, having served with the First Tank Destroyer Group. Former manager of Cinema 219, Somerset. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
