Born in Pennsylvania, he moved to Loraine in 1961. He served in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class during the Korean War. He worked as a facilities manager at Society Bank of Firelands in Vermillion, Ohio for the past 12 years. Prior to that he worked as an air traffic controler [sic] for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oberlin, Ohio for 20 years before retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4637 in Lorain. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, Lorain Ohio. He enjoyed gardening. Survived by these children: Mrs. Jim (Brenda) Kendzel, Ypsilanti, Mich.; Mrs. Doug (Bonnis) Waite, Lorain, Ohio; Mrs. Paul (Toni) Bryant, Decatur, Ala.; Paul Baraniak, Lorain and Mark at home; sisters: Mrs. Sally Kerch of Boswell; Mrs. Ben (Violet) Perziosi, of Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. Ann Murin, of New Jersey and Mrs. Florence Sadler, of Boswell. Two brothers, Alec and Donald Baraniak, both of Boswell. Family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the John R. Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, Ohio where services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Lorain, the Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Family requests no flowers be sent. Family requests contributions to Alcoholics Anonymous.
