  BARCHEY
  
  Dorothy Barchey, 83, of Friedens RD 1, died Feb. 25, 1994, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born July 13, 1910, at Pleasant Hill, daughter of the late
  William and Katherine (Rhoads) Custer.  Preceded in death by her parents
  and her brother,  Elwood.  Survived by husband of 61 years, John J.
  Barchey; a son, Rev. John J. Barchey Jr. of Vanderbilt, Pa.; daughters:
  Mrs. Edwin (Alice Lee) Stansbury of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Fred (Kay)
  Ogline of Fredericksburg, Va.; three grand-
  children and one great-grandson. Sister of Louise Custer of Friedens RD 1,
  Rosalie Coder Lauer of Hyattsville, Md., and Evelyn Meyers of Pittsburgh. 
  A former schoolteacher in the Somerset Area Schools.  Graduate of Slippery
  Rock College.  Member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.  Friends
  were received Sunday evening and will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Monday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, Funeral service
  will be had at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist
  Church, the Rev. David Jack officiating.  Interment, Friedens Cemetery. 
  Viewing at the church one half hour prior to funeral service.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, RD
  1 Friedens, Pa. 15541.
