  BARCHUS
  
  John McClure Barchus, 83, Salisbury, died Sept. 20, 1985, at home.  Born
  April 10, 1902, in Salisbury, son of late John L. and Edna (McClure)
  Barchus.  Survived by wife, former Malvina Porter; son, John P., Pasadena,
  Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Christine Whiting, Snyder, N.Y.; brother, Daniel,
  Melrose, Mass.; and sister, Mrs. Dorothy Stouff, Coatesville, Pa.; also six
  grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Member of Salisbury Church of
  the Brethren and Meyersdale Lodge No. 554, F.&A.M.  Retired credit manager
  for Talon, Inc., Meadville, Pa.  Friends are being received in Thomas
  Funeral Home, Salisbury, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday
  (today), the Rev. Daniel J. Whitacre officiating.  Interment, Salisbury
  Cemetery.
