  BARCHUS
  
  Malvina C. Barchus, 90, of Salisbury, died Friday, Oct. 29, 1993, at St.
  Francis Home, Williamsville, N.Y.  Born May 7, 1903, at Mt. Savage, Md.;
  daughter of the late Harry O. and Nora (Sween) Porter.  Also preceded in
  death by husband, John McClure Barchus, and two sisters: Emily Barber, and
  Christine Davenport.  Survivors include: John P. Barchus, Altadena, Calf.;
  and one daughter, Christine B. Whiting, Snyder, N.Y.; six grandchildren,
  and seven great-grandchildren.  Member of Salisbury Church of the
  Brethren.  Friends will be received Sunday 7 to 9 p.m. at the Newman
  Funeral Home, Salisbury where service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday with
  the Rev. Randy Steele officiating.  Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
