Pleasant, died June 11, 1982, in Frick Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Sept. 15, 1916, in Somerset County, son of the late H. Edward and Millie (Sheppard) Barclay. He resided for the past 50 years in the Iron Bridge area near Mt. Pleasant, where he was the owner-operator of the Mt. Pleasant-Scottdale Airport for the past 25 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Scottdale, and a member of the church council. He was past president of the Pennsylvania Aeronautics Assn. and also past president of the East Huntingdon Township Lions Club. Survived by wife, Bette (Baker) Barclay; five children: James Milton, Mt. Pleasant RD 7; Mrs. Ronald (Linda) Polcha, Southwest; Mrs. Ballard (Diana) Ward, Dravosburg; Dennis, at home; and Judith of Greensburg; five grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother: Mrs. Elmer (Beatrice) Rhodes, Somerset; Mrs. Wilma Stevens of Mt. Pleasant RD; and H.E. Barclay of Scottdale. Preceded in death by a brother, Paul, in 1943. Friends will be received at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, from 2-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday, where services will be conducted Monday at 11:30 a.m., the Rev. R. A. Sistek officiating.
