Barclay, 78, Akron, Ohio, formerly of Somerset, died Nov. 15, 1986, in Akron City Hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1908, in Somerset, a son of the late Dr. A.O. and Margaret (Ream) Barclay. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ream A., and one nephew, Richard L. Barclay. He is surivived [sic] by two nephews, Ream F. Barclay, Kitty Hawk, N.C., and Robert A. Barclay, Akron, Ohio; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Halverson Barclay, Akron, Ohio. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A veteran of World War II, served in the 80th Division Medical Corps. Retired from Motor Cargo, now Consolidated Freightways, and he was a member of the Teamsters Retirement Club and the VFW, Akron. He was a resident of Akron for 50 years. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating.
