Born Oct. 15, 1906, in New Rockford, N.D., daughter of Charles and Frances (Wardman) Bosworth. Preceded in death by parents, sister, Helen "Polly" Barnes, and granddaughter, Michelle McFadden. Survived by twin daughters: Mrs. Ralph (Finnette Elizabeth) Egolf, Somerset; and Fiona Kathleen McFadden, Vestal, N.Y.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She attended Mansfield State Normal School and New York University and taught in Bradford County, Pa., and Long Island, N. Y., prior to moving to London, England in 1932. She moved to Scotland during the Battle of Britain where her daughters attended the Lockierbie Academy and her husband, John Barkel, served as flight commander of an RAF fighter squadron. She returned to the United States in 1949 and lived in Towanda and Wyalusing, Pa., prior to moving to Somerset in 1992. No viewing or visitation. Graveside memorial service will be held in Spring Hill Cemetery, Bradford County, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Haugher-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset.
