Barkley of Main Street was stricken with a heart attack suddenly Sunday night, May 18, and passed away before a physician could be summoned. Mrs. Barkley attended the services for the graduates earlier in the evening and apparently was in good health when she retired. A daughter of Benjamin A. and Anna (Logue) Miller, the deceased was born on October 6, 1886. She leaves her aged father; her husband, Miles O. Barkley; and a son, Miles O. Barkley, Jr., who will graduate this week in the local high school. She was a sister of Norman, Ord and Raymond Miller, all of Berlin; Mrs. Harry Gindlesperger and Mrs. Edgar Coughenour, both of Berlin. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Brethren Church, Rev. N. V. Leatherman officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery here under the direction of J. N.
