Lucile Barkley, 79, of Connellsville, formerly of Greensburg and Somerset, died Nov. 1, 1981, in Connellsville State Hospital. Born Jan. l, 1902, in Virginia, a daughter of the late Rev. J. C. and Emma (Shockley) Beahm. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. Harold Barkley; one daughter, Marilyn Marshall; one brother, James Beahm; one sister, Estella Ritenhouse; and two grandchildren. Survived by three daughters: Louise, wife of Jerry Schwanke, Levittown, Pa.; Ruth Ann, wife of Frank Golemberti, Latrobe; and Joyce, wife of Edgar J. Johnson, Carlisle; and five grandchildren. Also survived by three brothers: Wilbur, Orange City, Fla.; Russell, Harrisonburg, Va.; and three sisters: Ruth Whitacre, Roanoke, Va.; Edith Lohr, Indianhead, Pa.; and May Rittenhouse, Orlando, Fla. Member of the First Church of the Brethren, Carlisle; and a former member of County Line Church, Champion. She was a retired school teacher with 30 years service. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kermit Jones of Champion officiating.
