  FRANK J. BARKMAN
  
    Frank J. Barkman, 85, of Rockwood RD 1, died Nov. 17. 1974, in Memorial
  Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Nov. 21, 1888, in Milford Township, he was a son
  of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Stahl) Barkman.  He was preceded in death
  by his wife, Minnie in 1969, and by three sisters.
    Surviving are the following children:  Orlo and Mrs. Paul (Arlene)
  Thomas, both of Rockwood RD 1; Mrs. Russell (Hazel) Miller of Somerset RD
  4; Mrs. Hubert (Alverda) Whipkey of Somerset; 10 grandchildren, 13
  great-grandchildren and a  sister, Mrs. Sadie Brougher, Somerset RD 1.
    He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, and of
  Milford Grange 1744, and a retired farmer.
    Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon in Messiah Lutheran Church
  with Rev. James R. Meyers officiating.  Interment in the church cemetery.
