  BARKMAN
  
    Kathryn Barkman, 81, of Rockwood RD 1, died Sept. 22, 1997, at the
  Somerset Hospital.  She was born April 7, 1916, in Upper Turkeyfoot
  Township, a daughter of the late Solomon A. and Lena (Phillippi) Johnson. 
  Preceded in death by husband, Orlo, in 1986; brother, Wilbur L. Johnson;
  twin sister, Hazel Baumgardner; sister, Ruth Barron; granddaughter, Laury
  Barkman and great-grandson, Michael Mack.  Survived by two sons, Robert A.
  Barkman, married to the former Viola Shaulis of Rockwood RD 1, and Wayne J.
  Barkman, married to the former Sally Eisler, of Bath, Pa.; six grandchildren
  and three great-grandchildren.  Sister of Betty Snyder of Warren, Ohio;
  Leona Hay and Leora Snyder, both of Rockwood RD 1, and sister-in-law,
  Elaine Johnson of Rockwood.  Member of Messiah Lutheran Church and New
  Centerville and Rural Fire Department auxiliary.  Friends will be received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (today) in the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral
  Home, Somerset.  Funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Messiah Lutheran
  Church, Pastor John Palko officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery, New
  Centerville.  Viewing at the church 45 minutes prior to the service.
