  BARKMAN
  
    Mrs. Mary L. Barkman, 80, 470 Park Ave., Tyrone, who for last 1 ® years
  was a guest at State College Manor, died at 11:20 p.m., May 10, 1985,
  following an extended illness.  Born Aug. 26, 1904, in Somerset County,
  daughter of Silas A. and Annie Belle (Myers) Putnam.  On Dec. 22, 1926,
  married Oscar S. Barkman, who survives.  Also survived by daughter, Mrs.
  John (Marjorie) Woomer, Pennsylvania Furnace; son, Ronald L. Barkman,
  Hamburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Last of her
  immediate family.  Preceded in death by son, Dr. Oscar C. Barkman.  Member
  of Church of the Brethren, Tyrone and Friendship Bible Class.  Employed for
  number of years as clerk at Schaffer Grocery Store, Tyrone and number of
  years was Gray Lady at Tyrone Hospital.  Funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday
  (today) at Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Ralph Z. Ebersole
  officiating.  Interment, Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood, Pa.  Contributions
  in her memory may be made to building fund of Church of the Brethren,
  Eighteenth Street and Adams Avenue, Tyrone, Pa., 16686.  Arrangements by
  Getz and Searer Funeral Home, Tyrone.
