  BARKMAN
  
    Orlo J. Barkman, 77, of Rockwood RD 1, died March 4, 1986, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born March 31, 1908, in Milford Township, a son of the
  late Frank J. and Minnie (Younkin) Barkman.  Preceded in death by a
  granddaughter and one great-grandson.  Survived by his wife of 49 years,
  the former Kathryn Johnson; two sons: Robert, married to the former Viola
  Shaulis, Rockwood RD 1; and Wayne, married to the former Sally Eisler,
  Bath, Pa.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren;.  Brother of: 
  Mrs. Hazel Miller, and Mrs. Hubert (Alverda) Whipkey, both of Somerset;
  Mrs. Paul (Arlene) Thomas, Rockwood RD 1; and Mrs. Naomi Knepper,
  Bedford.  Life-long member of Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville.  A
  retired Milford Township farmer.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Wednesday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home.  Funeral services conducted
  Thursday at 1 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, the Rev.
  Greg Pile officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery, New Centerville.  No
  viewing of remains at the church.
