Barndt, 85, Somerset, died July 4, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Sept. 7, 1921, in Indiana County, Pa., the son of Ira Earl and Lucy Pearl (Miller) Barndt. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Anna Mae Hochard; brothers, Earl Stewart, Roy E. and Robert W. Barndt. Survived by brothers and sisters, Emma Catherine Barndt, Somerset; Edward J. Barndt, Sipesville; Mrs. Raymond (Grace) Raygor, Kettering, Ohio; Mrs. Irene Hart, Ligonier; James Barndt, Somerset; and Ralph B. Barndt and wife, Helen, Somerset; sisters-in-law, Ada Barndt and Mona Barndt, both of Somerset; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, including Victoria, Abigail, William, Randall and Jonathon Hart. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he had also worked as a farmer for various farms including Flannery Farms until his retirement. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer officiating.
