    Charles F. Barndt, 85, Somerset, died July 4, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Sept. 7,
  1921, in Indiana County, Pa., the son of Ira Earl and Lucy Pearl (Miller) Barndt. Preceded
  in death by parents; sister, Anna Mae Hochard; brothers, Earl Stewart, Roy E. and Robert
  W. Barndt. Survived by brothers and sisters, Emma Catherine Barndt, Somerset; Edward J.
  Barndt, Sipesville; Mrs. Raymond (Grace) Raygor, Kettering, Ohio; Mrs. Irene Hart,
  Ligonier; James Barndt, Somerset; and Ralph B. Barndt and wife, Helen, Somerset;
  sisters-in-law, Ada Barndt and Mona Barndt, both of Somerset; numerous nieces and nephews
  and great-nieces and nephews, including Victoria, Abigail, William, Randall and Jonathon
  Hart. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he had also worked as a farmer for various farms
  including Flannery Farms until his retirement. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 10
  a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer officiating. Interment Edie Cemetery.
  Contributions may be made to Mount Laurel United Church of Christ, 1209 Keysertown Road,
  Boswell, PA 15531. Military graveside rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
