Barndt, 83, formerly of Moxham and Somerset, died March 16, 1996, in Donahoe Manor Nursing Home, Bedford. Born March 4, 1913, in Bethany, Somerset County, son of the late Wilson Robert and Matilda Alice (Beck) Barndt. Also preceded in death by wife, Ruth Oretta Weigle, who died Oct. 12, 1990, and three sisters: Annie Walker, Elsie Friedline and Jennie Gardner. Survived by these children: Philip Barndt, Alliance, Ohio; Wayne Barndt, Wadsworth, Ohio; Carol Sawyer, Harrisburg; Lois Maurer, Somerset, and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. One sister, Nettie Miller, Somerset. Member of Riverside Grace Brethren Church. Retired from Gautier Division, Bethlehem Steel Co. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Larry R. Weigle and Rev. Timothy E. Sheaffer. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
