Barndt, 84, of Berlin RD 4, died Jan. 30, 1996, in Somerset Hospital. Born Feb. 6, 1911, in Lincoln Township, a son of the late George and Cora (Racey) Barndt. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Wilma Faust, in 1989. Survived by two children: Bernice Richter of Cranberry Township and Merle Gallagher of Charleston Ind., several grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Edith Knox, Meyersdale RD 1, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a retired mine foreman and a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday with Rev.
