    Robert W. Barndt Sr., 63, of Friedens died Sept. 24. 1995, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Aug. 2, 1932, in Lincoln Township, Somerset County.  Son of
  Ida Baker Heining and the late John Barndt.  Preceded in death by his father
  and one son, Robert W. Barndt Jr.  Survived by his mother, Ida Baker Heining
  of Somerset; his wife, the former Rosella Landis; and these children:
  Michael E., Friedens; Sharon Bottorff, Friedens; Debbie Fleegle, Somerset;
  Linda Wagner, Londonderry, N.H.; and Brenda Barndt, Methuen, Mass.; seven
  grandchildren and these sisters:  Mary Jane (William) Bell, Somerset RD 8;
  Dorothy (Paul) Weyand, Somerset RD 7; and Carrie (Paul) Eicher, Somerset RD
  5; and mother-in-law, Gertie Landis, Somerset RD 8.  Member of Roof Garden
  Christian Church.  Veteran of U.S. Army.  Member of Jenners Rod and Gun
  Club.  Former member of Laurel Hill Mountain Boys musical group.  Friends
  will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Wednesday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be
  conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Mr. Roy Worsham officiating.  Interment,
  Casebeer Cemetery.
