Barnett, 89, Somerset, died Sept. 15, 1994, at her residence. Born Jan. 6, 1905, in Meyersdale. Daughter of the late Maurice G. and Norma Louise (Moore) Shoemaker. Preceded in death by husband, Emil Berkey Barnett, July 24, 1958. and brother, Alvin M. Shoemaker. Survived by son, Edmund M. "Steve," Barnett, Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren: Timothy A. Barnett, Glenmoore, Pa.; Michael S. Barnett, Boston, Mass.; Kristin M. Barnett, Richmond, Va.; also a great grandson, Christopher Barnett,. 1926 graduate of Drexel University. Retired home economics teacher in Somerset Area Schools, retiring in 1973 with 29 years of service. Member of St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church; Philippi (W. Va.) Chapter of Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of American Revolution. Past board member of the Mary S. Biesecker Library. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church, the Rev.
