"Pete" Barnett, 89, of Naranja Lake, Fla., formerly of Harrisburg and Somerset, died Sept. 23, 1987, in Homestead, Fla. He was born Dec. 14, 1897, in Lincoln Township, the son of the late William Henry and Clara Elizabeth (Miller) Barnett. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Norma King, and a son, Logan M. Barnett Jr. Also two brothers, Ray D. and Lloyd W.; and two sisters, Hazel Friedline and Cora Ayres. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Jacob (Mary Jane) Aiona, of Homestead, Fla.; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and one great-great-granddaughter. A brother of Mrs. Irene Pyle, Sydney, N.Y.; Mrs. Lena McKelligott, Cornith, N.Y.; Mrs. Clarance (Stella) Winship, Jessup, Md.; Harry K. Barnett, Sipesville; Mrs. Ralph W. (Annabelle) Emert, Shanksville; and Mrs. Robert (Lucille) Snyder, Somerset RD 2. A retired service manager and mechanic for Chrysler dealerships. Member of the Oddfellows and the United Commercial Travelers. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor George W. Walton officiating.
