Baroni, 53, Washington, D.C., died Aug. 27, 1984, in Providence Hospital, Washington, D.C. Born Oct. 24, 1930, in Acosta, son of Giuseppina (Tranquellini) Baroni and the late Guido Baroni. Survived by his mother, Acosta; and these brothers and sisters: Angelo, Philadelphia; Mary Halkias, Pittsburgh; Rose Hebda, Springfield, Va.; and M/Sgt. John Baroni, U.S. Air Force, Plattsmouth, Neb.; and 13 nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Acosta, with the Most Rev. James J. Hogan, bishop of the Altoona-Johnstown Catholic Diocese as celebrant; the Most Rev. James A. Hickey, archbishop of the Washington; D.C., Diocese as co-celebrant.
